Bicycles and tools were taken by burglars, thanks to unlocked doors at homes and garages. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1400 Washington

Bicycles were taken from an unlocked home in the 1400 block of Washington Street between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8:45 a.m. yesterday.

2300 Asbury

Tools were stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2300 block of Asbury Avenue after 10 p.m. yesterday.

900 Brown

A handicap placard was taken from an unlocked 2007 Honda in the 900 block of Brown Avenue between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

1500 Grove

Someone damaged a window at a home in the 1500 block of Brown Avenue around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

2112 Asbury

Bruce T. Berrier, 21,  of 901 W. North Ave., Villa Park, was arrested at 2112 Asbury Ave. at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday and charged with a traffic violation.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
