Unlocked window provides access in burglary on Lee

Someone took advantage of an unlocked window to enter a home in the 1500 block of Lee Street yesterday. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1200 Michigan

A 2015 Toyota was entered between 1 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. yesterday in the 1200 block of Michigan Avenue. Some cash was reported missing.

1500 Lee

A burglar crawled through an unlocked window of a home in the 1500 block of Lee Street between 10 a.m. and 10:24 p.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported missing.

Drugs

1725 Emerson

Antonio D. Sanders, 24, of 1423 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1725 Emerson St. at 11:56 p.m. Saturday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on April 26 at 9 a.m.

Other

1905 Howard

Omar A. Zamora, 32, of 754 N. Lorel Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1905 Howard St. at 6:33 p.m. Friday and charged with violating an order of protection. He is due in court on April 6 at 9 a.m.

Theft

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from the shelves of Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday. Suspect is a 5-foot-9-inch-tall black male weighing 194 pounds.

1500 Hinman

Silverware and tools were stolen from an apartment in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue between 12:40 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. Friday.

200 Callan

A package of clothing delivered to an apartment/condo common area in the 200 block of Callan Avenue was stolen sometime Thursday.

Traffic

600 Foster

Emmanuel Asante Boadu, 23, of 1016 W. Hollywood, Chicago, was arrested at 600 Foster St. at 12:06 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. A court date was set for April 21 at 9 a.m.

1454 Elmwood

Lucas L. Boyd, 25, of 5226 S. Paulina, Chicago, was arrested at 1454 Elmwood Ave. at 7 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. A court date has been set for April 21 at 9 a.m.

2224 Emerson

Elder Cortez-Sanchez, 20, of 500 W. Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, was arrested at 2224 Emerson St.  at 1:06 a.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. A court date was set for April 14 at 9 a.m.

1611 Ridge

Antonio Jones, 30, of 7645 N. Ashland, Chicago, was arrested at 1611 Ridge Ave. at 4:36 p.m. Saturday, and charged with a traffic violation. A court date was set for April 21 at 9 a.m.

1907 Howard

Beatriz Maldonado, 24, of 5920 W. Addison, Chicago, was arrested at 1907 Howard St. at 3:59 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. A court date was set for April 21 at 10:30 a.m.

7557 Ridge

Josue Perez de Jesus, 29, of 7234 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 7557 Ridge Ave.,   at 4:20 a.m. Thursday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on April 18 at 10:30 a.m.
