Evanston public works crews are anti-icing main and secondary roads ahead of another minor snow storm expected today.

James Maiworm, the city’s infrastructure maintenance chief, says the snow is expected to start as flurries around 10 a.m. and build into a steady snow between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. and then diminish before it ends around 4 a.m. Monday.

Snow totals are expected to be in the 1.5- to 2-inch range. Temperatures will rise overnight and be above freezing during the day on Monday.

Maiworm says crews will also pre-salt residential intersections. He says that at this point it doesn’t appear any parking restrictions will be required because of the storm.
