Monday was Valentine’s Day, and with the blizzard-full of snow rapidly melting away in Evanston, Doug Cole, a retired Northwestern professor, seized the moment to draw a heart in the white stuff for his wife of 53-and-a-half years, Ginny, outside The Mather on Davis Street where they now live.
