Evanston police say a vandal turned off the power to the freezer of a grocery store in the 500 block of Main Street early Tuesday.

That was one of a set of unusual crimes that also included the theft of a stuffed animal collection from a residence in the 1700 block of Oak Avenue reported Monday evening and the theft of boxed sets of records from Vintage Vinyl at 925 Davis St. on Monday afternoon.
