Vandals went on a spray-painting spree Monday night on South Boulevard, Monroe Street, and Custer Avenue. These stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Damage

400 Custer

A 2012 Chevrolet was spray-painted in an apartment parking space in the 400 block of Custer Avenue between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

1700 South Boulevard

A 2018 Toyota was spray-painted in the 1700 block of South Boulevard between 6 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

1600 Monroe

A 2014 Chevrolet was spray-painted in the 1600 block of Monroe Street between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. yesterday.

700 Dodge

Someone smashed the windows of a 2000 Acura in the 700 block of Dodge Avenue around 7 a.m. yesterday.

Battery

2021 Dodge

Ricco Dominick Aiden, 49, of 2002 Darrow Ave.., was arrested at 2021 Dodge Ave. at 2:16 a.m. today and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on June 20 at 9:30 a.m.

1800 Seward

Fredo Demaret, 23, of 518 Douglas Ave., Waukegan, was arrested at 1800 Seward St. at 5:36 p.m. yesterday and charged with manufacture/delivery of cannabis.

Burglary

3600 Hillside

Cash was stolen from an unlocked 2009 Ford in the 3600 block of Hillside Road between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. yesterday.

1900 Church

Burglars damaged a door in accessing a restaurant in the 1900 block of Church Street around 3 a.m. today.

Graffiti

Chicago at South Boulevard

Graffiti was discovered on Chicago Transit Authority property at Chicago Avenue and South Boulevard at 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

1500 Sherman

Graffiti was discovered at a construction site in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue at 8 a.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

Graffiti was discovered at a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 5 a.m. yesterday.

2400 Lake

Graffiti was discovered on the garage of a home in the 2400 block of Lake Street at 10:30 a.m. yesterday.

400 Custer

Graffiti was discovered on the garage of a home in the 400 block of Custer Avenue at 6:33 a.m. yesterday.

Other

Central at Green Bay

Police received a report of a man with a gun at Central Street and Green Bay Road at 3:44 p.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.

728 Dobson

Ronald Bryant, 60, of 728 Dobson St., was arrested at that address at 4:07 a.m. today and charged with violating a city noise ordinance. He is due in court on July 9 at 9 a.m.

Shots Heard

Crain at Dewey

Gunshots were reported at Crain Street and Dewey Avenue at 9:46 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Theft

1700 Benson

A Windsor bicycle was stolen from a bike rack in the 1700 block of Benson Avenue between 11 a.m. and 1:05 p.m. Monday.

1800 Foster

A Schwinn bicycle, left unattended in the yard of a home in the 1800 block of Foster Street was stolen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday.

500 Howard

Gas was stolen from a service station in the 500 block of Howard Street at about 9:20 p.m. yesterday.
