THEFT
1000 Ashland
The mother of a male juvenile in the 1000 block of Ashland Avenue happened to see her son’s bike a short time later outside Valli Produce in the 1900 block of Dempster Street, where she recovered it and returned it to her son. The bike was reported stolen around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday at the victim’s home on Ashland.
BURGLARY
700 Lincoln
Luggage was taken from an unlocked 2014 Lexus in the 700 block of Lincoln Street between 9 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday.
800 Brummel
Someone gained entry to the garage of a home in the 800 block of Brummel Street between Nov. 13 and 10:38 a.m. Thursday and stole a bicycle.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
1000 Main
The front door glass of a home in the 1000 block of Main Street was damaged around 8:12 p.m. Wednesday.
600 Howard
The window of a CTA shelter in the 600 block of Howard Street was damaged at 7:44 a.m. today.
OTHER
1625 Maple
Thomas E. Whitehead, 52 and homeless, was arrested at 1625 Maple Ave. at 6 p.m. Thursday and charged with obstructing justice.
SHOTS HEARD
1900 Orrington
Gunshots were reported at 9:36 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Orrington Avenue. Police checked the area but found nothing.
700 Reba
Gunshots were reported at 4:49 a.m. today in the 700 block of Reba Place. Police checked the area but found nothing.
