Family and friends of Linda Twyman, who was murdered three years ago in her Evanston apartment, plan a memorial vigil for her Sunday.
The vigil will be held at the Malankara Catholic Church at 1208 Ashland Ave.
Police responded to a call about a woman screaming at Twyman’s apartment at 1144 Ashland at 11:12 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2005, and found a trail of blood through the apartment that led to Twyman’s body. She’d died of multiple stab wounds.
Police believe two intruders were involved in the attack, but so far have been unable to identify and charge suspects in the case.
Friends and family of Twyman are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. They along with police and other volunteers will also distribute fliers about the case and the reward on Sunday.
The Evanston police department has established a hotline at 847-424-5473 that people can call with any information about the case.
