BURGLARY

1900 Church

Cash was taken after a 2014 Volkswagen was entered and its interior ransacked shortly after noon Sunday in the 1900 block of Church Street.

1000 South Boulevard

Nothing was reported missing after a 2016 Volvo was entered by breaking a window between 9 p.m. Sunday and midnight Monday in the 1000 block of South Boulevard.

2400 Prospect

A gold Diamondback bicycle and a purple Trek bicycle were taken from an unsecured garage in the 2400 block of Prospect Avenue between Aug. 14 and Wednesday.

1100 Central

Power tools were taken from a storage shed in the 1100 block of Central Street between 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 16.

THEFT

800 Brown

A 2018 Toyota Camry was stolen from the 800 block of Brown Avenue between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. yesterday.

1100 Chicago

Cash was taken in a pickpocketing at the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 3 p.m. yesterday.

800 Emerson

A bicycle locked to a bike rack in the 800 block of Emerson Street was stolen between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. yesterday.

2485 Howard

William W. Starr, 61, of 1115 S. Robert Drive, Mt. Prospect, was arrested at 2485 Howard Street at 7:57 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft.
