The City of Evanston is running a National Drinking Water Week art contest for third grade students and wants your vote to help select the winners.
The contest theme is “Protect the Source,” and the goal is to increase recognition of the essential role water plays in our lives.
Through 5 p.m. Friday, April 5, community members are encouraged to cast their vote online to determine this year’s People’s Choice award winner.
The winners of the contest will be invited to attend the announcement and presentation of the awards at the Administration & Public Works Committee Meeting on Monday, April 22.
Mayor’s Choice Award and Water Spirit Award winners will also be announced during the meeting.
Awards will include Evanston beach tokens for the 2019 summer, a plaque recognizing their achievement and a chance to have their artwork displayed at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave., during Drinking Water Week, May 5-11.
