Time is almost up to register to vote in the March 18 gubernatorial primary election.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 18.

If you aren’t sure whether you’re registered, you can use the voter information search tool on the Cook County Clerk’s website to find out.

You can also start to register online, although you’ll have to print out the form, sign it and mail it in to complete the process.

You can also register at any of the county clerk’s offices or or at the Evanston Civic Center.

To qualify to vote, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old by Election Day and a resident of his or her precinct for at least 30 days prior to the election.

The Clerk’s office reminds voters who have recently moved that they must re-register at their current address prior to the deadline. Voters who have changed their name also must re-register.

Early Voting will be held March 3-15. Mail ballot applications are now being accepted.
