Theft

1500 Sherman

A wallet was lifted from the purse of a 26-year-old Evanston woman while eating at a restaurant in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

2400 Main

A cell phone was stolen from a store in the 2400 block of Main Street between 12:10 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. yesterday.

800 Chicago

A cell phone and medicine were removed from the purse of the victim at the Chicago Transit Authority depot in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Burglary

1600 Lake

Someone stole speakers, a backpack, and a laptop computer from a 2012 Toyota parked in the driveway of a home in the 1600 block of Lake Street between 12:30 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. yesterday.

1300 Dewey

A Stanley Jumpit was stolen from an unlocked 2004 Jeep in the 1300 block of Dewey Avenue between 7 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 p.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

1700 Main

Graffiti was discovered on a building in the 1700 block of Main Street at 4:07 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

500 Davis

Beatriz Demma, 56, of 2337 N. Lenox Court, Round Lake Beach, was arrested at 500 Davis St. at 4:18 a.m. today and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Oct. 17  at 9 a.m.

1822 Ridge

Brett A. Hetrick, 38, of 324 Hamilton St., was arrested at 1822 Ridge Ave. at 11:20 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Oct. 21 at 1:30 p.m.

609 Howard

Marcel Pe Rhoden, Jr., 28, of 2011 Howard St., was arrested at 609 Howard St. at 9:52 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Nov. 2 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
