Motorists would be wise to avoid traveling on Ridge Avenue next Tuesday through Thursday due to installation of a water main between Leon Place and Foster Street.

The city advised Thursday that crews will be working from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on those days.

Parking will be prohibited in the work area and traffic will be reduced from two lanes to one lane through the use of signage and flaggers.

The work involves cutting the street on the east side of Ridge so that city workers can make the water main connection.
