Evanston public works crews are out again this morning spreading anti-icing chemicals on the roads.

James Maiworm of the city’s Public Works Agency says light snow should start around 11 a.m. an taper off to flurries around 2 p.m. In all, forecasters are expecting about a half inch of new snow to fall.

Temperatures will be rising throughout the day today and are expected to be above freezing tomorrow.

Maiworm says crews are on standby for plowing work later in the day if conditions require it.
