Evanston is expected to get another two inches of snow starting late tonight and ending around 7 a.m. Christmas morning.
That’s on top of a little lake effect event that provided a dusting of fresh snow this morning.
Assistant Public Works Director James Maiworm says street and sidewalk crews are out and will be salting roads and brooming off walks in business districts. Temperatures are expected to remain very cold through the day.
And he says crews will be out plowing overnight and on Christmas morning.
Forecasters say that a little more snow is headed our way for Christmas night — most likely about a half-inch.
