Despite threatening skies before the 2 p.m. show time, the performance by the 85-member orchestra directed by Lawrence Eckerling went off without a hitch.
The symphony’s Jazz Sextet will perform at Old Orchard at 2 p.m. next Sunday, June 29.
The symphony’s Brass Quintet will be there at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, and Larry Eckerling and His Orchestra perform at the same time on Sunday, July 20.
