The City Council voted Monday to extend a moratorium on new construction building permits in the West Side Tax Increment Financing District for an additional 125 days, to Dec. 12.

The moratorium had been scheduled to expire Aug. 10, but consultants the city has hired to develop rezoning recommendations for the area are just beginning their work and aren’t expected to produce final reports for Plan Commission and City Council review until mid-October.
