Whole Foods to benefit Evanston Market Friends

Friends of Evanston Farmers Markets will receive an amount equal to 5 percent of all purchases made from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Whole Foods market at Church Street and Chicago Avenue.

Friends raises funds to provide a match for LINK patrons, so that families which otherwise could not afford the Saturday downtown farmers market can buy fresh, healthy, locally grown produce.

The organization also sponsors cooking demos at the market and works with District 65 teachers to provide educational activities for children.
