The Evanston Preservation Commission and the Western Great Lakes Chapter of the Association for Preservation Technology will co-sponsor a free Window Restoration Workshop on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Speakers will focus on the benefits of window restoration, techniques used to evaluate and repair windows and successful case studies.

The morning session will provide an overview of the issues and techniques involved. The afternoon session will focus on technical issues for professionals. But attendees are welcome to attend both.

The event will be held in the Parasol Room in the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m.

There is also an opportunity to visit some sites and a window restoration shop. Space is limited to 88 people. More information is available online.
