An unlocked window was sufficient to allow a burglar to enter a home on Bennett Avenue and steal a Playstation 4 video game. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

2700 Bennett

A burglar entered a home in the 2700 block of Bennett Avenue via an unlocked window around 2 a.m. yesterday and stole a Playstation 4 video game console.

Theft

400 Howard

A known offender took a speaker from an apartment in the 400 block of Howard Street between April 3 and 2:47 p.m. yesterday.

2485 Howard

Keith Dantrell Gordon, 22, of 1927 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 2485 Howard St. at 2:40 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on May 17 at 10:30 a.m.

Traffic

1600 Ridge

Jesus C. Chavez, 35, of 7220 N. Bell Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1600 Ridge Ave. at 2:44 a.m. today and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 27 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
