Evanston police were alerted at about 5 a.m. yesterday that someone was smashing windows at the Brothers K Coffeehouse at 500 Main St., at the intersection with Hinman Avenue.
Upon investigation, they found that two windows had been broken by someone using chairs that were outside the facility. Nothing inside the coffeehouse was reported missing, and the offenders were not apprehended, according to EPD Cmdr. Brian Henry.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
500 Main
Two windows were broken at the Brothers K Coffeehouse in the 500 block of Main Street, at Hinman Avenue, at about 5 a.m. yesterday. Nothing was reported missing.
1300 Lake
The windshield was shattered on a 2002 Jeep in the 1300 block of Lake Street between 9:30 a.m. Sunday and 8:28 a.m. yesterday.
800 Case
Someone keyed a 2005 GMC vehicle and slashed its tires in a parking garage in the 800 block of Case Street between noon Sunday and 11:12 a.m. yesterday.
BATTERY
1100 Church
Cordel J. Haywood, 24, of 1100 Church St., was arrested at that address at 1:14 p.m. on Dec. 22 and charged with domestic battery.
1001 Davis
Robert N. Morehead, 35, of 2121 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 1001 Davis St. at 6:39 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Feb. 8 at 9 a.m.
OTHER
932 Judson
Tervaughn T. Adams, 19, of 932 Judson Ave., was arrested at that address at 12:01 p.m. and again at 1:27 p.m. yesterday and charged with public indecency. He is due in court on Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
329 Custer
Michael Rayon Clarke, 42, of 329 Custer Ave., was arrested at that address at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday and charged with stalking.
1815 Central
Thomas J. Hardy, 31, of 2121 Brummel St., was arrested at 1815 Central St. at 9:04 a.m. Friday and charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He is due in court on Feb. 1 at 10:30 a.m.
THEFT
2400 Main
An unattended telephone was stolen from a discount store in the 2400 block of Main Street at 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
2200 Oakton
Tools were stolen from the Home Depot store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street at 4:09 p.m. yesterday.
700 Dodge, 900 Dodge, 500 Hinman, Austin at Ridge
Catalytic converters were stolen within the past week from a 2008 Prius, a 2005 Toyota, a 2008 Toyota, and a 2004 Honda in the 700 and 900 blocks of Dodge Avenue, the 500 block of Hinman Avenue, and near Austin Street and Ridge Avenue.
1400 Emerson
Unattended tools were taken from the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Emerson Street between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. yesterday.
