CRIMINAL DAMAGE 2600 Sheridan City employees discovered that someone had thrown rocks that broke windows at the former Harley-Clarke mansion, now vacant, in the 2600 block of Sheridan Road, next to the Evanston Lighthouse. The broken windows were discovered at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. BATTERY 1116 Darrow. Lorenzo Leon, 28, of 1416 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at 1116 Darrow Ave. at 2:49 a.m. Thursday and charged with domestic battery. BURGLARY Kedzie at Judson A burglar gained entry to an unlocked 2004 Toyota near Kedzie Street and Judson Avenue between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday and stole some coins. 2300 Bryant Someone gained entry to an unlocked 2016 Acura in the 2300 block of Bryant Avenue between Thursday and Saturday. Nothing was reported missing. 1100 Hull Someone gained entry to an unlocked garage and then an unlocked 2002 Ford that was inside in the 1100 block of Hull Terrace between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday. 300 Sherman Tools were taken from an unlocked 2011 Dodge in the 300 block of Sherman Avenue between 4:15 a.m. and 2:37 p.m. Friday. SHOTS HEARD 1700 Hovland Gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Hovland Court at 9:58 p.m. Sunday. Police checked the area but found nothing. THEFT 2200 Oakton A 23-year-old man reported the theft of his cell phone at the Home Depot in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 11:45 a.m. Friday. 600 Chicago A 37-year-old woman reported that her purse, containing her wallet, was stolen at a nail salon in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. 700 Hinman A package was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Hinman Avenue at about 7 a.m. Sunday. 1100 Davis A package was stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Davis Street between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. 1800 Wesley A package was stolen from a residence in the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue between 6 a.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Sunday. 1300 Chicago A Fuji bicycle that was secured to a bike rack was stolen in the 1300 block of Chicago Avenue between July 27 and 9:02 a.m. Friday. TRAFFIC 1234 Chicago Izaiah Cedeno, 20, of 2719 W. Potomac Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1234 Chicago Ave. at 2:17 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.
