The owners of Stacked & Folded, a sandwich and taco shop that opened in Winnetka in 2015, are planning to expand to Evanston soon.

They’ve received building permits and are seeking a liquor license for the vacant retail space in the building at 824-828 Noyes St., next to the Noyes CTA station.

824-828 Noyes St.

The recently completed four-story apartment building on the property incorporated the exterior walls of the one-time grocery store there that more recently was home for a quarter-century to the Noyes Street Cafe.

Stacked & Folded offers online pickup and delivery service along with a catering menu.

The owners say they offer “family-friendly comfort food with a twist,” locally source their meats, use non-GMO oils and offer gluten-free options.
