The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that runs from 9 p.m. tonight through 6 p.m. Saturday. It says we could get six to 10 inches of snow from the storm.
The weather service says heavy snow is possible around mid-morning Saturday — with as much as one to two inches per hour falling around that time.
Snow-covered roads and low visibility is expected to make travel hazardous throughout the warning period and will likely affect air travel at Chicago’s airports.
