Rain and sleet are in the forecast for this afternoon, turning to snow this evening and possibly accumulating to over an inch before the storm ends about 2 a.m. Thursday.
Edgar Cano of Evanston’s Public Works Agency says plow crews will be on duty to salt the roads during the afternoon rush hour and overnight.
The storm could also bring up to a quarter inch of rain and another quarter inch of sleet.
And here we are, almost a month after the official start of spring!
