Wintrust Bank will seek approval from city staff Wednesday for its plans to remodel a storefront at 1740 Sherman Ave. to launch its expansion into Evanston.
The property is the former site of the Cosi restaurant.

Wintrust’s plans call for reworking the ground-floor facade with new new storefront windows and stone cladding, a new center entry, new signage and a new, small awning over the entryway.
Inside, the bank will have an ATM in the vestibule, a conference room on the front corner and space for bank tellers and other staff.
The new outlet will be branded Evanston Community Bank, following the local identity pattern used for Wintrust‘s existing North Shore Community Bank locations in Wilmette and Glencoe.
Wintrust has also leased the former Chase Bank location at 901 Grove St., which will give it a drive-through facility in Evanston.

A bank is a good thing, espeically Wintrust.

Hi Andrew,
So it’s all about you … nobody else’s interests or desires matter?
