Evanston police this afternoon were called to the Mayfair Beauty Supply store at 715 Howard St. for a report of people fighting inside the store.

Police spokesman Perry Polinski says officers responding to the 1:15 p.m. call found two women in their early 20s who’d gotten into an agument — and one of them — 22-year-old Raven A. Brothers of 1925 Darrow Ave. — was bleeding from where she’d been bitten on the forehead.

She was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment and was later charged with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after police concluded she started the fight.

About the sam time police responded to 217 Dodge Ave. where a Toyota SUV driven by a 52-year-old Evanston resident struck the rear of a townhouse. Polinski says the driver was not hurt. Property standards was called to inspect the damage to the building.

This morning about 9:45 a.m. police were called to 906 Davis St. A 57-year-old Chicago man told officers a 6-foot-tall black male wearing a maroon track suit had asked him if he wanted to buy drugs, snatched $15 from the victim’s wallet, threw the wallet on the ground and fled southbound on Maple Avenue in a maroon car driven by a woman.
