Evanston police and fire units responded to the lakefront about 10:30 this morning after receiving a report of a woman in the water at Burnham Place east of Lake Shore Boulevard.

The woman reportedly now has been pulled from the water and was breathing and talking when rescued. She’s being treated by paramedics.

No word yet on how she ended up in the water. Police and fire units were leaving the scene by around 11 a.m.
