Evanston police say a 30-year-old Evanston woman was fatally stabbed in a home in the 100 block of Callan Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital by the Evanston Fire Department where she was pronounced dead.

Cmdr. Ryan Glew says police have a person of interest in custody and are not looking for any additional offenders.

The Evanston Police Department continues the investigation with the assistance of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force Forensic Unit.
