An Evanston Now reader noticed this misspelled street sign while out driving near the lakefront this morning.
Judson Avenue, of course, is named after Philo Judson, one of the founders of Northwestern University and the man who first platted land that became the City of Evanston.
Given the number of typos you can find on Evanston Now, we hope nobody will deal too harshly with whoever it was who jumbled the letters on the sign.
Bigger mistakes by the city than a sign
While this is funny, the truth is it is a small mistake- give the bigger mistakes that no one looks at – poorly written reports by staff with bad numbers, wasting money, the huge mess at the water plant, Wally wasting $6000 on a painting, the replacing a kitchen at firestation 2 that is in good condition, the list is so long -the yard waste sticker screw up that cost taxpayers a 1.3 million increase per year, I am laughing over this one, but most of the other screw up are costing us millions of dollars!!!
