This year Young Evanston Artists will celebrate its 25th anniversary on YEA! Day, Saturday, May 19, with a display of the work of 1,500 students from 40 area schools.

The youngsters’ artwork will fill the sidewalks of the Chicago/Dempster business district from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to construction of the new CTA viaduct the performance stage will be moved to Dempster Street east of Chicago Avenue Rain site this year is the new Roycemore School at Davis Street and Ridge Avenue.

YEA! Day provides a forum for children to exhibit and perform their art in a non-competitive and non-commercial setting.

All public, private and parochial schools, pre-school through high school, are invited to participate in the festival.
