The City of Evanston invites resident 21 and younger to submit their locally-made short films to be screened as opening trailers during the 2014 Starlight Movies in the Park series.

Submissions will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 29. Entries must run 15 minutes or less, be formatted on a DVD-R disc that can be played in the U.S. and include the name of the participant, their role(s) in the production, age, address, email and phone number.

Interested participants can drop off their submissions at the Cultural Arts Office in Room 1116 at the Civic Center or mail their film to Starlight Movies c/o Galen Anderson, Cultural Arts, Room 1116, Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL 60201. Participants who wish to have their DVD returned must include a self-address envelope. 

Selected participants will be notified when and where their film will be played closer to the premiere date.

The Starlight Movies in the Park series brings Evanston community members together on select evenings at dusk to enjoy movies such as E.T., Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone and Frozen.
