About 200 young people — bundled up against the cold — turned out at the Evanston Public Library Wednesday afternoon with thoughts of warm-weather job opportunities next summer.

Shaniqua Lewis, a freshman at Northeastern Illinois University, applies for a summer job at the McGaw YMCA’sCamp Echo in Fremont, Mich.

The fair is one of several during the year sponsored by the Youth Job Center of Evanston. Wednesday’s fair focused on summer camp jobs, including several at park districts in northern Illinois.
