CRIMINAL DAMAGE

600 Michigan

A suspect forced his way into a 2007 Jeep by breaking the window in the 600 block of Michigan Avenue between noon Tuesday and 6 p.m. yesterday.

2200 Central

Freshly poured cement was damaged in the 2200 block of Central Street yesterday afternoon.

OTHER

1818 Hinman

Roman Gizycki, 47, of 7470 W. Seward St., Niles, was arrested at 1818 Hinman Ave. at 5:46 p.m. yesterday and charged with violation of an order of protection.

SHOTS HEARD

Greenwood at Fowler

Gunshots were reported at Greenwood Street and Fowler Avenue at 3:23 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.

THEFT

South Boulevard at Chicago

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2020 Nissan near South Boulevard and Chicago Avenue between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 11:42 a.m. yesterday.

500 Sheridan

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2005 Honda in the 500 block of Sheridan Road between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6:12 p.m. yesterday.

7500 Paulina

Someone took cash from a victim’s hand in the 7500 block of Paulina Avenue, Chicago, around 11 a.m. yesterday.

1500 Oak

A secured Trek bicycle was stolen from the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between noon Wednesday and noon yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
