Countertop supplier Blue Pearl Stone holds a grand opening celebration today day for its new retail store at 517 Dempster St. in Evanston.
Blue Pearl managers Teresa Fister and Christine Ficarelli say the event, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will include activities for children, music, local made snacks and drinks, and coupon giveaways.
Representatives from quartz and recycled glass suppliers will be on hand to answer questions in the late afternoon ahead of a gathering for industry representatives from 5 to 8 p.m.
The owners say they will offer a full range of quartz, recycled and natural stone materials in contemporary and traditional styles.
Blue Pearl Stone also operates a warehouse and stone finishing plant in LaGrange.
