For the second day in a row, a car in the 1400 block of Foster Street has been found with its tires slashed and sugar added to the gas tank. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
Criminal Damage
1400 Foster
Someone slashed the tires of a 2005 Pontiac in the 1400 block of Foster Street and put sugar in the gas tank between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. yesterday. A similar incident, involving a 2007 Ford, was reported yesterday in the same parking lot. The two vehicles are owned by a mother and a daughter, according to EPD Cmdr. Ryan Glew. While no suspect has been named, he said, a person of interest is the daughter’s boyfriend.
1400 Brown
A Denver boot was damaged in the 1400 block of Brown Avenue around 11 a.m. Monday.
Drugs
10018 Holly
Justin J. Dunlap-Edwards, 25, of 9948 Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested at 10018 Holly Lane at 7:55 p.m. yesterday and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Other
1454 Elmwood
Desmen D. Williams, 26, of 1940 W. Touhy Ave., Chicago was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 10:20 p.m. yesterday and charged with fleeing or eluding a police officer. He is due in court on Dec. 11 at 9 a.m.
Theft
1800 Lemar
A package containing food that was delivered to a home in the 1800 block of Lemar Avenue was stolen between 1:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.
Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
