The free Access to Fishing program for youth 5-15 years of age is held every Saturday through Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lovelace Park, Gross Point Road at Thayer Street.

Equipment, bait, and fishing expertise are provided free of charge. This Saturday there also will be casting workshops, giveaways, and snacks for the “Fishing Frenzy” program.

Access to Fishing is managed by the Evanston Ecology Center. The State of Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) sponsors Access to Fishing. Fishing Frenzy activities are sponsored by the Evanston Parks and Recreation Board.
