The Chicago Transit Authority will be doing some work on the Purple Line Saturday that will reduce the traffic lanes on Madison Street between Chicago Avenue and Custer Avenue.
One lane of traffic will be maintained for both directions utilizing traffic control. Also parking in the immediate area will be restricted. In addition, the sidewalk on the north side of Madison will be closed.
The CTA says that flaggers will assist pedestrians and traffic at all times during working hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
