The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms are likely in Evanston Tuesday evening, with some possibility of damaging winds and tornadoes.

However, the worst weather is likely to be substantially to the west of the city.

After a high in the mid 80s today, the temperature is expected to drop below 60 overnight.

The weather service says we’re likely to get a quarter to a half inch of rain from tonight’s storms.

Cooler weather for the rest of the week, highs in the low 70s, with the next chance or rain on Friday.
