cornucopia

If you’re looking for a special gift for someone this holiday season, the Woman’s Club of Evanston may by the place to find it this weekend.

The club’s Cornucopia holiday gift and art fair opens Friday and runs through Sunday at the club’s headquarters at 1702 Chicago Ave.

Organizers say this year’s edition of the fair will offer unique, hand-made or hand-designed home decor, apparel, accessories, gourmet foods, and one-of-a-kind jewelry.

More than 50 local and regional artisans, including new and returning vendors, will sell their handcrafted and specialty items at the juried event.

The fair opens Friday with a party from 5 to 9 p.m. featuring live music, appetizers and the best selection of items from vendors. Tickets for opening night are $10.

Hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets are $6 at the door each day for one-time admission.

A multi-day pass for all three days is available for $15.

Proceeds from the Cornucopia Gift Fair help support the WCE’s philanthropic work in the community, and benefit local not-for-profit organizations.
