The City of Evanston will host a Recycling Fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 23, in the parking lot of the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.

At the fair, Evanston residents can recycle a variety of items, secure recycling education materials, sign-up for a waste audits and get a close look at some of the Streets and Sanitation heavy equipment.

Residents will have the opportunity to recycle electronics, documents, hangers, plastic bags, sharps, paper products, batteries, CFL bulbs, and ink cartridges. The first 250 people to show up will have the opportunity to obtain a repurposed refuse cart that can be used for composting.

  1. Supporting recycling efforts

Most people take for granted the fact that paper products can be found everywhere. This causes wastage because of the mentality that we can always have paper supplies whether at school, home or work. This wasteful lifestyle need to be changed if we want future generations to be able to witness the beauty and blessings our natural resources are giving us today.

  2. recycling from paper to electronics

It is just a matter of altering one's wasteful ways and trying to maximize the use of every item such as paper, plastic or even electronic gadgets. One optimistic view on this is that when you try to be practical and reuse or recycle household items – you will be able to realize that you do not have to always purchase news ones. Today, it is not only paper and plastic products that have the attention of recyclers but even electronic gadget, metal and wood as well. shredding San Antonio companies (for example)  have also made efforts in informing citizens that it is not only paper documents which can be properly disposed but even computer hard drives also. In this way, the things that we consider as useless can be turned into something usable once more for other purposes.
