Monday evening’s meeting of the Evanston City Council Administration and Public Works Committee never actually happened — for lack of a quorum.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.

At 5:10 p.m. the committee meeting still hasn’t begun — for lack of a quorum.

At 5:23 p.m. Ald. Jonathan Nieuwsma (4th), who’s scheduled to chair the meeting, is still the only council member in the room.

At 5:32 p.m. still waiting for a quorum. Nieuwsma says he’s hoping to have one soon. He adds — for people in the room who are showing up for the Planning and Development Committee meeting — that it is not likely to start as scheduled at 5:45 p.m.

At 5:42 p.m. Ald. Bobby Burns (5th) has arrived.

At 5:44 p.m. Nieuwsma says A&PW meeting won’t be held tonight because of the lack of a quorum. All A&PW items will be advanced to the City Council agenda tonight.
