With business activity starting to pickup as COVID-19 restrictions are eased, the City of Evanston plans to resume parking enforcement operations next Monday.

The city suspended enforcement of non-safety related parking violations, such as an expired parking session, during the statewide stay at home order.

City officials say they plan to only issue warning citations for non-safety related violations for the first week of resumed enforcement and will start issuing fines on June 8.

Street cleaning will continue in June, but only warning citations will be issued through June 28. Fines will be issued for street cleaning parking violations beginning June 29.

Posted signage designating temporary free parking spaces to facilitate pick-up at local restaurants and retail establishments will be honored through the month of June.
