Evanston police Monday reported the arrests of two people on domestic battery charges in separate incidents. One of those charged is an Evanston resident, the other is from Dyer.

A Skokie woman and a Chicago man were charged with retail theft.

Someone slashed the tires of a car parked in the 100 block of Grey Avenue.

And a would-be auto thief damaged the steering column of a 2012 Kia parked in the 700 block of Dobson Street.
