Evanston police report four cases of criminal damage to vehicles — including somebody throwing a brick through a window of a 2017 Toyota parked in the 1200 block of Pitner Avenue.

There were four graffiti incidents, two downtown and two in the 3rd Ward.

And there were four shoplifting incidents, with the Jewel-Osco on Howard hit twice, and a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue and the CVS on Asbury hit once.

A woman was robbed of her purse at a gas station in the 2400 block of Main Street and a robber grabbed a victim’s cellphone and backpack in the 300 block of Callan Avenue.

Police made nine arrests including two for domestic battery and one for assault.

(The crime bulletin from April 15 was not distributed until April 17. So two files are attached to this report.)
