The derailment of an out of service train just north of the Howard Street station has forced suspension of CTA Purple Line Express service this evening.
The CTA says Local Purple Line service between Linden and South Boulevard is still running with a shuttle bus providing connections between South Boulevard and Howard.
Red Line service continues to operate, but trains may experience some delays.
The Yellow Line is not operating and Yellow Line customers are advised to use the #97 Skokie bus instead.
There were no reports of injuries from the derailment.
