A report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue resulted in the arrest of a nearby neighbor yesterday evening.
A 15-year-old resident told police he heard his dog barking shortly after 8 p.m. and found a neighbor rummaging through one of the bedrooms, according to Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.
Responding officers found the suspect in a yard across the street and took him to police headquarters, where he was charged with one count of residential burglary.
The suspect was identified by police as Creed McGee, 52, of 1934 Jackson Ave.
