Each week day, the Evanston Police Department issues a crime bulletin, detailing most of the incidents and arrests that have occurred in the city. But not today.

According to Cmdr. Jay Parrott, the department’s computer system Tuesday was encountering difficulties, and one of the casualties was the daily crime bulletin.

Hopefully the system will be back up tomorrow, he said, and the “blotter,” as it is popularly called, will resume, making up for lost ground.
