City officials say the lake-effect snow that hit Evanston overnight varied greatly depending on what part of town you live in.

In portions of north Evanston, snow depths of as much as five inches were reported, while as little as a half inch fell in spots at the south edge of town.

The city has not issued any parking restrictions as a result of the storm, and officials say all main roads are clear and work is expected to continue all day to clear side streets.

Extra crews are being added to the north side areas that got the most snow.
